Reviews ~ Finished Products June 2012

'Another month gone in a blink of an eye. Let's take a look what I used up past month, what I liked and what I didn't like so much.'

'The first things are this herbal shampoo by Dutch drugstore Etos. It was only 1,99, and I used this since november/ december 2011. I like the scent of this shampoo very much, and it freshened up my hair, like the package promise. I think I repurchase this as soon Etos have an 50% discount, cause lastly before this was finished (I didn't realize it was almost finished) they had an discount on this.
The other item is an Yves Rocher Jardins Du Monde Californian Almond shower creme. I paid 1,50 for this. (catalogue price 3). I say it every finished product post: the almond shower creme is my favorite from Yves Rochers Jardins Du Monde line.
The last thing is a free sample from Dove wich I got on their Facebook page. It's the Purely Pampering showercreme in Sheabutter Vanilla. I wish they sended me their Jasmine Coconut scent, cause I didn't like the smell of the Sheabutter Vanilla one. In the beginning I thought, "Oeh nice vanilla scent", but after a few swipes the most strongest, chemical sheabutter scent infected my nose. I'm not a huge fan of sheabutter scent personally, but sometimes when the scent isn't too strong in a combination scented product, then I could live with it. Some bodybutters with sheabutter for example doesn't smell that sheabutter strong as this showercreme does. So I'm not going to purchase the Sheabutter Vanilla one, maybe the Jasmine Coconut variant.'

'The I finished this Aquafresh Toothpaste, wich whitenes your teeth. It was only 1,50 at the Action here in Holland, so I had to try this out. I start using this in december 2011. You need to push a sort of button, and then the product comes out. Very handy and hygienic, cause sometimes toothpaste could make a real mess. My teeth are a little whiter, but I don't see I huge difference. It's good for the price anyway.
The other thing is my Essence My Skin Mattifying facecream with lychee and blue grapes. It was 1,99, and I like this for the hotter days. In winter it didn't do a lot for my skin, cause then I like a fat cream the most, but this product is perfect for hot summerdays when my skin needs to be mattified.'

'Next is a couple of samples I used up in June. I tried the John Frieda Full Repair Shampoo and Conditioner, but I couldn't decide after only one use of it really repairs my hair. Maybe John Frieda could be better make a bigger sample of at least 30ml (like Dove did in the past) cause mostly you don't see after one wash if a, especially expensive product works. I like the scent though. And it makes my hair really soft, but that's all I can say about this product.
Next sample is L'Oreal's Youtcode Luminize. Again, L'Oreal could better give away bigger samples, or put a product like this in a mini jar. I don't like the idea of samples like this: you opened it, use a tiniest bit, and then you put it opened up in your bathroom or other storage system. The product could dry out that way, and I don't like to keep a lot of opened sachets in my room. So I ended up using it once, and then I throw it out. I couldn't tell you of this product works or not. I only can say that it gives your face a glowy skin after one use, but that won't keep long. Maybe if I was be able to use the product more often, I could be more specefic of the product really works.
Last sample is this sample I got from Ici Paris. It's a sample of Miss Dior Cherie L'eau perfume. I can tell you that I won't purchase a scent like this, cause it's not my type of perfume. Simply said I don't like this perfume. But maybe it is your kind of perfume, so I would suggest that you're going to check it out in your perfume outlet.'

'And as almost always I used up a few lipsticks. This time I used up Max Lips in Peach and Deep Berry. A package of two of these lipsticks is only 0,89 at the Dutch Action, and I really like the formula for the price. Only the package could be better, but hey what do you else expect from a 0,45 lipstick? Peach broke triptych in my lip kit during the wear past months. I also had Poppy Peach in my lip kit, but I lost it. It's not that bad that I lost it, cause it was only 0,45. At the moment I carry Pink Blush, Hot Pink and Purple Pink with me.
And like I finish every month, I finished a Yves Rocher Almond Lipbalm, wich are also one of my favs. I'm in need for trying other lipbalms at the moment, but this one has a place in my heart. I paid only 1, the catalogue price is 2,50. This is the old package, Yves Rocher currently change the lipbalm packages.'

'Lastly, this Nail Buffer died. I used it for a good year, and I won it during a Nail Art Contest. I'm not using Nail Buffers a lot, so that's why it lasts so long on me. I liked this Buffer, and I wish I could find a Buffer like this here in Holland. I don't know the price of it. I allready bought a buffer set of two, so I let you soon know how my new Buffers works.'

'So these are the products I used up past month. Let July come in please! (and with that more sunny days!)'

Purchases ~ Mini End Of June 2012 Purchase

'Before we say goodbye to June 2012, I want to share with you my latest End Of June things I bought. It's not that much, so here we go.'

'First thing I bought was these Nail Buffers from Max Cosmetics. You can get Max in the Dutch store Action, and it was only  0,50 for two. Very cheap, and I am in need for an new Nail Buffer at the moment.'

'The other thing is from Superdrug. It's the Superdrug Simply Pure Smoothing Face Scrub, wich I allready planned to pick up. Normally these are  2,99, but I got it at my local Trekpleister for  2, so I had to pick it up when I hit the Superdrug shelf. This discount only counted on the Simply Pure Line: Everything was for  2. If all the other lines where on discount at the same time, I'm affraid I was going nuts then. Anyway. We shall see how these products turn out on me.'

'It's time for a new item on GlitterKitty's ShoppingHunt: GlitterKitty's Most Awesome Shops. Now first I wan to start with one of my most favorite cheap shops at the moment, the dutch 1001 Voordeelshop. If you ever going on vacation to Holland, be sure you also visit the north side, cause this shop is for me Nailpolish, Make Up and Nail Art Heaven for less. That's why I made this post: to inform you what they have to offer, and guide you around a little.

'Okay, if we're walking in, you start mostly at the middle of the shop, so on the left side. On the left side there are at the moment tons of nailpolishes by Wynie Cosmetics, and Ivsty Cosmetics, wich are both imported by Wirly Multigama Espana SL. They sell also Easy Paris Laca de Unas, wich I bought earlier <here> and <here>. Those polishes are only 1,50, a real steal. I think I need to pick up some of the Wynie and Ivsty polishes soon, so keep an eye out for Wynie and Ivsty purchases here on GlitterKitty's ShoppingHunt. You will find also at the same shelf at the left side some make up products if we walk further, but I couldn't get an good pic of that part. You have blushes, faceproducts, nail files, and tattoos on that part also, if I'm not mistaken.'

'Then we're keep walking and we're going left. Basicly, next is the shelf at the other side, wich contains tons of make up by Wynie Cosmetics, Ivsty Cosmetics, Easy Paris and some Japanese brands. On the highest shelf we find mostly Japanese mascara's at the moment. On the lowest shelf we find tons of nail art supplies: glitters, stickers, rhinestones, sequins, fimoslices, and many, many more. I'm terribly sorry if I forgot something, but when you're there, you missing a pair of extra eyes. Anyway, at the end of the same shelf you will find also everything for acrylic or gel nails. They sell also practice fingers, clippers, and nailpolish wheels for cheap. And not to forget: crackle and striper polishes.'

'1001 Voordeelshop also sell wigs. I don't have an good pic of those wigs too, so I apologize.  This shop also sells gifts, computer supplies, and a lot more nice items. Projects ~ Everything Bling

'It all started with pimping my Waterstreet Blue Nails by NYC. For a long time I didn't a lot with my nail art supplies. It all start itching again: I had to use rhinestones past week. I decided to stick on some silver rhinestones on that summer- ish blue, and as you can see, it failed a little. It had supposed to be curved on the smile line of the nails, but now it seems it turn out like the rhinestones drunk too much.'

'Anyway. I had to do it nicer, and I decide to make an easy nail art video again. Also an good excuse to use that black glitter by Easy Paris, along with some square purple rhinestones. My latest Easy Nail Art video is called Elegant & Easy Goth Nails, and this is what it looks like.'
Easy Paris Laca de Unas Glitter in #156

'I start off thinking after that video: I wanted to make an white version of my Elegant & Easy Goth Nails. Halloween isn't on the corner yet, so an summer version should be cool. I took this white striper by Janet Cosmetics, and Oh My Paws... a disaster sneaked in that evening.'
Easy Paris Laca de Unas Glitter in #148

'The white striper was way too thick, so I wait at least 30 minutes after applying my Essence Dry Drops. Because of the way too thick and gloppy look, I desided too file my tips a little, but it seems that after the 30 minutes I waited and used drydrops, the striper still wasn't dry. Disappointment came in, and I took of the whole design. This was the horrible result.'

'I ended up with this that night, cause I was sure I needed desperately some bling that evening. Oh well, better luck next time...'
Easy Paris Laca De Unas in #470

'Click <here> for more swatches from Easy Paris Laca de Unas.'
